The 246 is a hi-fi café and listening room on Patchen Avenue — a day-to-dusk space built around good coffee, an easy pour, and a sound system worth sitting still for.
We wanted a room the neighborhood could use all day. Mornings run on drip and pour-over. Afternoons soften into wine, snacks, and soft vinyl. The bar stays low-key, the volume stays right, and the door stays open from day to dusk — a place to work, to meet, or to sit with a record and let the afternoon go.
As the light drops, the room turns over to programming. Vinyl DJs behind the bar, rotating art on the walls, and the occasional screening — all in the same warm space you sip in by day. It's a neighborhood room first, so most of what happens here comes from people who walked in the door. If that's you, come by.
